Wealth and Religion
I believe that all wealth comes from Allah. Allah gives wealth to whoever he wants and takes it from whoever he wants.
Don’t focus on things like salary and revenue. Just do something useful, toss it out into the world. The wealth will come.
Key point is creating value. Stay away from empty jobs where you’re not contributing anything. Go after the ones where you can do something useful, even if it pays less. Don’t be manipulative. Don’t charge for things that you aren’t delivering. Don’t exploit when you are given the opportunity to.
Jobs are really just a way to create something useful. Wealth comes from many sources. The goal isn’t to stop working; it should be having the freedom to do better work.
Work is ibadah — a form of worship. Gravitate towards doing important, high quality work, and avoid doing work that is detrimental to society.
Sometimes it’s difficult. You might feel forced to do something evil for money. You might question God’s fairness; why some people get more than others. Often it is tempting to spend your whole life doing pointless work for a good salary.
That’s where you take a leap of faith. It’s easy to pray and be a good person. But it takes a lot more faith and piety to make a leap. You might be surprised how far you go and the rewards you get.
